First time Mac user here. I switched to Apple because i had been fed up with PCs being unreliable.

This Mac Mini provide you with Apple quality at reasonable prices. Great if you already possess a screen. Ample power for common needs, unless you're a gamer, or you're responsible for the computer graphics for Avatar 2 (the pc still plays games like Portal without any problems though).

I purchased 8 gb ram for under $50, since which was so cheap, I believed why don't you (i installed it before booting in the computer the very first time).

Setup was simple and easy , fast. Reverse mouse scrolling felt odd, and so i changed it to regular. Lion is geat, i love it a great deal. Everything is fairly intuitive, for someone much like me not accustomed to Apple computers. Learning curve isn't very steep. It'll probably take new users just one week to obtain comfortable with the features.

Launch is fast, about 40 seconds, and getting out of bed from sleep mode is excellent, with instant recovery of all of the items you were previously focusing on.

Software programs are perfectly integrated. Love garageband. The comptuer handles music editing easily. It's super easy to navigate in one app towards the other using shortcuts around the keyboard. Appears like navigation could be great using the magic trackpad, but the buying price of that thing isn't so magic ($70), so i'll pass.

The pc doesn't have a serious office suite, so you'll have to either get one or download one free of charge if you would like word processing, spreadsheet and presentation software (i downloaded openoffice, it provided all that free of charge, and contains an excellent compatibility with microsoft 'office').

Main point here: unless you'll need a lot of power, this computer is excellent. It doesn't have a cd/dvd/bluray player/burner, which taught me to be pause for any second. I Quickly believed that I truly didn't make use of the optical drive during my previous pc (maybe Four or five times in Three years), so that's not an issue for me personally. Also, for the similar price, you are able to probably get an infinitely more powerful pc. On the other hand, think about: exactly what do I want a quadcore for? This little mac does all I want and much more, also it will it well and fast.

The mac mini is awesome. I haven't missed the optic drive as of yet. My wife a new mac user is liking it as well. I upgraded to 8 gig of ram... would recommend this. Since ram upgrade it does everything I need.. run Virtual machines , office ... etc....

Total this is an excellent computer. This is an excellent computer for going on the internet, basic office programs, and incredibly light games. This computer isn't a big powerhouse but could obtain the basic things done. It runs MS Windows 7 Home Premium all right. Microsoft 'office' runs well too other basic desktop applications. You are able to play basic slot games but anything. Because of the low energy usage of the computer, it is not really upgradable to complete anything 3D gaming. The computer's wireless adapter acquired my router if this was cranked up the very first time. It had been easy to have it connected and ready. I'd say this is an excellent computer for homework, office working, and extremely basic game. I anticipate by using this computer for doing homework and surfing the world wide web.

Nicely done. Computer installed without any problems. Surprised about the rate and convenience of the cost. Keep your eyes peeled -- be cautious when lifting it as they are. The coverage within the CD/DVD drive is nicely hidden, however i grabbed the situation with that side and dislodged it from the hinges. Luckily, no damage. Not really a criticism, just an observation because the design helps make the front look very sleek.

Just bought this on an unadvertised Black Friday special for just $478 + tax (local Fry's Electronics). Consists of the newest Intel i5 Core for much better than average performance. Might the 8 gb of Ram memory and Windows 7 Home Premium (64-bit) can make this a really, very useful machine. It's sufficient hp to deal with most anything you like to throw at it (other than hardcore gaming). Modular design of what Lenovo calls "IdeaCentre" hardware makes it simple to services (a lot of it reminds me from the business-oriented ThinkCentre series of desktop computers from Lenovo). And also the pleasant options that come with the included software program should turn it into a little easier for average human beings to manage their data and navigate all of the features. Will review on the functions at another time. Unsure if this is selling just about anywhere right now for under $620 but check out the specs. The quality is fairly well done (Be certain that you're reading the specs for the 77472BU model no ., not the older 77472AU that has the i3 Core - part of the weird naming system passed down from IBM days).

I bought this pc 14 days ago. I personally use computers every day at the job and also have had home computers for years, however i am definitely no professional in it. This pc has been excellent! The set-up really was easy, it's fast, and my children really like the Touch Smart screen and also the different applications for it. Used to do have 1 slight problem initially when i first set up the unit though. Based on the set-up directions, there's a receiver that connects to the USB port that is supposed to receive the signal with the wireless mouse and keyboard. I looked all over the place for that thing and never found it. I completed the set-up process with all the touchscreen display. A while later I switched the mouse and keyboard on, just to see what would happen. Both mouse and also the keyboard work very good, when you purchase this product you my need to keep that in mind. Apart from that my experience has been very good, and i also would recommend this pc.

For the price this will make a really nice process for the casual individual, internet browsing, word, stand out. The G620 2.6ghz is a Soft sand Bridge second gerneration processor - a slight step along from the i3-2100, but is nontheless speedy and quicker than the E6700(3.2gh) or E5800 and even some first generation i3 processors. The PC comes with a few bloat, like lenovo dynamic brightness and eye length monitors - those are simply usefull if you employ a lenovo monitor as well - but these can often be uninstalled manually. Overall a terrific PC, and with leading, you can have the item in a day as well as two.

The set up put in at home. Don't make the similar mistake as I do with the mouse. The USB dongle is inside back between the power packs. It says it nevertheless it kind of goes not noticed if you go through the illustrations. So it can actually pay to read the instructions. The customer service rep was very affected individual and very kind. I got this for the Television set to pay web content material. It is tiny as well as completely noise free. I have to admit, though, after several days I got a instant full size keyboard plus mouse. That would be the sole drawback I can look into purchasing this. The remote control mouse/keyboard is very small and hard to notice in anything but incredibly bright light.

5.0 out of 5 stars

If you're using that for gaming, It will work on simple games, and minimize HD graphic games. For a cheap price, it is definitely portable, and has content everything I have asked for. HDMI for me to look at my movies, and shows in 1080p. It contains a fast enough processor, and a decent enough graphics card to fulfill that. Mines came with a smaller keyboard and mouse put together, and it's very hassle-free. If you're looking intended for something simple that you want to use for everything nevertheless high end gaming, this really is right for you.

I bought this out of Amazon for my technology-challenged mother-inside-law and, for the amount, am very happy together with the purchase. She does several things on a laptop: email (via AOL - goodness!), web and work inside Microsoft Office. This laptop handles all of these functions with ease and respectable speed. The machine is definitely quiet and fairly small (thus the "Slimline" name) in order that it can be tucked at a distance on her computer cubical. No complaints, although When i didn't realize until after purchasing that it does Not really come with wireless social networking capability built-in. (Guess I'm spoiled after working with Macs almost all day). Not a huge problem, but I did must purchase an additional Flash Wireless adapter to admittance a network. It may come preloaded with bloatware, and not overly so - I've observed worse. Stripped all of these down, installed Win7 updates and it was all set. Again, can't beat the purchase price. It's not a quickness-demon and she's not really playing "Rage" on this thing anytime soon, but it'll let my mother-in-law read her AOL emails, so I are unable to complain.
