i got the desktop for a month now. overall i like the product, it is fast and window 7 run very smooth on it. only problem i have with it is that the desktop will have a squeeking sound inside the case, i dont know where it come from, but it will not stop. it is very annoy. also, sometime when i boot up the system, the fan or something else itside will have a noise too, in addition to the continuous squeeking sound. the fan noise will disappear in a while, but the squeeking noise will last as long as the system is on........

Awesome computer for the price. Found it for $100 cheaper on Amazon than anywhere else. No complaints so far.

I was so disappointed when I received my new computer. The computer lit up, but didn't boot up, no monitor signal, nothing. I contacted HP and now they are sending me a box with shipping instructions. I'll be waiting another week now for my computer and with any luck it will work. Just so you're aware that if you have technical issues you will need to deal with the manufacturer before Amazon will work with you on any exchanges or replacements. Keeping my fingers crossed that this will be a great computer when I get it back.

THIS REVIEW IS ACTUALLY FOR THE HPE - 235f AMD X6 Machine, NOT the 250f!!!
We've had this machine for about six weeks now, so I'm finally ready to write a review. This machine packs a lot of bang for the buck. The X6 processor is an excellent multi-tasker. We have ours capturing gaming video from my son's XBOX360 while also converting video (sometimes 3 at a time), surfing the net, and playing blu-rays. It's very impressive! You have to throw everything but the kitchen sink at it to hit 100% CPU processing.
That said, however, its downright insulting of HP to put a 5400 RPM WD Caviar Green HDD into such a powerhouse computer. It's painfully slowed down by it's HDD. You can, however, easily add another HDD to it. I put a Samsung F3 7200 RPM drive in and relegated the WD Green to a media drive. WOW! What a difference in performance.
Find this machine on sale, and it's hard to beat its bang for the buck! It has plenty of USB ports, a firewire port, eSATA port, etc. The Blu Ray has worked out very well, but it has trouble with Disney DVD's. Probably just needs a firmware update, but I have a standalone BR player, so haven't bothered. It's really a stunning machine.
That said, expandability is an issue. The graphics card takes up the full size PCI slot, so not a lot of room in there. Also, it only has a 300W power supply.
Our machine runs 24/7 and it's been a great workhorse so far!
